Proverbs 15:22
22 Plans fail for lack of counsel,
but with many advisers they succeed.
Proverbs 27:18
18 He who tends a fig tree will eat its fruit,
and he who looks after his master will be honored.
Luke 15:3-6
3Then Jesus told them this parable:
4"Suppose
one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave
the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until
he finds it?
5And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders
6and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.'
The Parable of the Lost Coin
8"Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?
9And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.'
Matthew 14:15-20
15As evening approached, the disciples came to him and
said, "This is a remote place, and it's already getting late. Send the
crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some
food."
16Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat."
17"We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish," they answered.
18"Bring them here to me," he said.
19And he
directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves
and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the
loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them
to the people.
20They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
I Kings 3:23-28
23 The king said, "This one says, 'My son is alive and your
son is dead,' while that one says, 'No! Your son is dead and mine is
alive.' "
24 Then the king said, "Bring me a sword." So they brought a sword for the king.
25 He then gave an order: "Cut the living child in two and give half to one and half to the other."
26 The woman whose son was alive was filled with compassion for her son
and said to the king, "Please, my lord, give her the living baby! Don't
kill him!"
But the other said, "Neither I nor you shall have him. Cut him in two!"
27 Then the king gave his ruling: "Give the living baby to the first woman. Do not kill him; she is his mother."
28When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the
king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer
justice.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:
10 If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
